The Founder and General Overseer of Omega Power Ministries (OPM) Worldwide, Chibuzor Chinyere, has disclosed that OPM has rehabilitated over 17,000 repented kidnappers, armed robbers and cultists in the past 10 years.
Chinyere revealed this when he led another batch of repented criminals to the headquarters of the Rivers State Police Command, Moscow Road, Port Harcourt, for profiling.
The cleric, who is widely known for his humanitarian works, said after the former hoodlums, who indulged in various social vices were rehabilitated, OPM equally provided them platforms to acquire skills to enable them make a living.
He said
“Today, 6th December, 2023, another batch of repented kidnappers, armed robbers and cultists came for police profiling after they have surrendered their guns, which Apostle Chibuzor, Founder and General Overseer of OPM has handed over to the police, currently at police headquarters in Moscow road.
“Remember, for more than 10 years i have visited this boys and convinced them to come out and surrender their lives to Christ, as God is ever ready to give them a second chance.
“Since 10 years now, more than 17,000 of them has been rehabilitated and give a new leaf of life.”
According to him, some of the repented and rehabilitated kidnappers, armed robbers and cultists have been gainfully employed, while some are now pastors.
He said, “Some are now working in oil companies, some have been sent overseas for international job, while some are pastors.”
Apostle Chinyere cited Romans 8:1: “Therefore, there is now no condemnation for those who are in Christ Jesus,” on the regeneration of the former criminals.
