The Anambra State Government has issued a stern warning against the sale of its properties located in Enugu State. The Managing Director of Anambra State Housing Development Corporation, Hon Chike Anyaonu, made the declaration, stating that the properties are not for sale.

The properties in question, five in number, were inherited by Anambra State after the sharing of assets of the old Anambra State in 1992. They are:

30/32 Abakaliki Road, GRA, Enugu
Plot 6 Ogbolu Crescent, GRA, Enugu
Plot 14 Charles Street, GRA, Enugu
Plot 3, Independence Layout, Enugu
Plot 650, Independence Layout, Enugu
Hon Anyaonu warned that unscrupulous individuals are attempting to sell these properties, and emphasized that the Anambra State Government has not authorized anyone to act as agents for their sale.

To prevent fraudulent activities, the Anambra State Housing Development Corporation has posted Caveat Emptor notices on the properties and notified the Lands Registry in Enugu and the police commands in Enugu and Anambra States.

The government warned that anyone attempting to buy these properties from impostors will be doing so at their own risk.
