Anambra Security: Police, Others Embark On Manhunt Operations

The Joint Security Force in Anambra State,have embarked on aggressive manhunt operations on armed men that alleged to have killed two police officers in Uruagu Nnewi in Nnewi North local government area the state.

This was contained in a statement issued to the Journalists in Awka by the Police Police Relations Officer (PPRO),SP Tochukwu Ikenga in his office in the Anambra State Police Command,Amawbia

“The Command is seeking for reliable information from the general public and other eyewitnesses that would to assist her in her ongoing manhunt operations in the area”,he said.

“Joint Security Force, begins Manhut Operation on armed men who murdered two police operatives on investigation activities in the early hours of today 3/10/2024 at Uruagu, Nnewi North”.

According to the statement, preliminary information available had revealed that the armed men started shooting sporadically on sighting the police officers and threw an improvised explosive into their operational vehicle and unfortunately, two of the officers were killed in the process when their vehicle caught fire.

“The statement further stated that the Command is calling on members of the public,especially the eyewitnesses and other stakeholders in the area to help it in accomplishing the onerous task, assuring the people that they call the following numbers from the Command’s control room , 07039194332 or that of the Police Public Relations Officer (PPRO) of the Command,SP Tochukwu Ikenga, 08039334002 for all forms of necessary assistance.

“Be rest assured that any reliable information made available to the officers on duty will be treated with utmost confidentiality”,the statement added.
