The National Assembly is no-go area as security officials have taken over the complex, ahead of the presentation of the 2024 Appropriation Bill by President Bola Tinubu.
It is reported that there is little to no access at the entrance gates of the complex as the security operatives in charge are heavily restricting access to everyone.
The DSS operatives in charge are ensuring that the only people allowed access are those who have any business there.
To the greatest dismay of the press and independent journalists, despite arriving as early as 6:30 a.m., they were blatantly denied access by the ton of security operatives at the complex. It is reported that they alleged that only designated “2024 Budget Presentation” tags could grant them passage.
Those who displayed their official identification cards were hideously paid no heed, leaving them with no option but to patiently wait for the tags which came hours later.
