Nonye’s Healthy Living Pap, the natural food formula for children with malnutrition, has retained a dominant presence in all the Primary Health Care facilities in Anambra State since the coverage was expanded in December, 2024.
The refilling of the pap banks in the one hundred and seventy-nine communities in Anambra was recently completed as a way to ensure its reach and effective service.
The process, according the governor’s wife whose NGO is overseeing the production and free distribution, is to ensure all-round availability of the supplement in the primary health facilities where they can always be accessed by parents whose children are battling malnutrition.
Nonye’s Healthy Living Pap is a purely organic supplement produced by the wife of the governor of Anambra State, Mrs Nonye Soludo, through her non-governmental movement, Healthy Living with Nonye Soludo Initiative.
The natural formula, which is given out free of charge is, according to Mrs Soludo, meant to tackle every form of malnutrition in children and assist government health policies to bring the malnutrition counts in Anambra State to near zero.
The distribution pattern for Nonye’s Healthy Living Pap is carefully streamlined to portray transparency and accountability in terms of data for the number of children who received it, the intake duration, results, and overall product’s performance.
From the Local Government Nutrition Focal Persons (NFPs), who first receive the product, down to Officers In Charge (OICs), who then take the pap to all the PHCs across the three hundred and twenty-six wards in the one hundred and seventy-nine communities in the state.
As of date, over six thousand packs of Nonye’s Healthy Living Pap have been distributed across Anambra State, accounting for over ninety per cent distribution coverage within four months since the product was officially launched.
