Anaocha Skill Acquisition Training: A Leeway To Youth Development And Self-Reliance

On 6th August, 2024, the Chairman of Anaocha local government area, Comr. Rome Ibekwe will unveil a gigantic skill acquisition training in Neni, the headquarter of Anaocha LGA, where 500 youths of Anaocha will be trained in different skills such as Shoe making, Soap making, Yoghurt making, Cosmetology.

Other skills include Bag making, Granola making, Fascinator, Catering, Solar energy, Tailoring, Computer literacy, Hair dressing, Make-up and Decoration.

This skill acquisition training aims to reduce the rising indolence and unemployment, thereby engaging our youths with a skill that will develop them and transform them into self-reliance and independence.

The training is strategically made to reoccur every half year to produce 500 trained youths who will be grouped different cooperatives, so as to access a startup fund assistance. By this, more youth in Anaocha can become resourceful and contribute to community development by staying away from crime, indolence and other negatives.
